The arrival of thousands of refugees from the Near East and Africa has challenged
European citizens and institutions on many levels. One of them is the fact that
different cultures often take very different stands regarding sexuality and freedom of expression. In this talk Aida, a Palestinian woman and peace worker that lives in a free love community in Portugal, will
propose a fresh look at the issue of the erotic culture clash. How can women (and
men) react in an empowered yet compassionate way to the advances of sexually repressed men? How can we use this
global crisis to create new systems that address human basic needs of love and sexuality?
